Refund and Returns Policy

📦 What This Policy Covers

Everything GoatIndia sells is digital. There are no parcels, no couriers and no shipping addresses involved. That means the usual "return the item within 30 days" idea does not apply here, because there is nothing to send back.

This policy covers two kinds of purchase:

• Downloadable resources such as planning kits, calendars, checklists, shed plans and record-keeping spreadsheets, delivered as PDF or XLSX files.
• Generated reports such as a project report built from the herd size, breed and cost figures you enter yourself.

⚡ Instant Delivery and What It Means for You

When your payment succeeds, access is granted immediately. Your download link appears on the order confirmation screen and is also sent to the email address you used at checkout.

Because delivery is instant and the file is yours to keep, a completed download cannot be undone the way a physical return can. We think that deserves to be stated openly rather than buried, so you know where you stand before you pay. Everything we sell is described in detail on its product page, and we would rather you read that carefully than buy something that turns out not to fit your farm.

✅ When We Will Refund You

We refund in full, without argument, in any of these situations:

• The file will not download or will not open. If the link fails, the download is corrupted, or the file cannot be opened in a normal PDF reader or spreadsheet application, that is our problem to fix. We will try to resolve it first, and refund you if we cannot.
• You were charged more than once for the same order. Duplicate charges are always refunded.
• You received the wrong resource compared with what you paid for.
• A generated report failed to produce after payment, or produced an unusable file.
• The resource was materially different from how its product page described it. If our own description misled you, the refund is yours.

❌ When We Cannot Refund

Equally, there are situations where we will not be able to help, and it is fairer to say so up front:

• You downloaded the file successfully and simply changed your mind. The content is already in your hands.
• The resource works as described but does not suit your particular farm. A shed plan sized for a hundred goats is not faulty because you keep ten. Please check the product page first.
• You expected outcomes we never promised. Our resources are planning and education tools. They do not guarantee profit, subsidy approval, loan sanction or any particular yield.
• You shared the file and now want a refund for your own copy.

🕐 How to Request a Refund

Please raise a request within seven days of your purchase. Reach us through our contact page and include:

• Your order number
• The email address you used at checkout
• The name of the resource
• A short description of what went wrong, including any error message you saw

You do not need to argue your case or attach proof of payment. The order number is enough for us to look it up.

💳 How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. We do not issue refunds in cash, to a different account, or as store credit unless you specifically ask for credit instead.

Once we approve a refund, we release it straight away. How long it takes to appear in your account is then up to your bank or payment provider, and typically runs to five to ten working days for cards, UPI and net banking. If it has been longer than that, contact your bank first with the refund reference we give you, since at that point the money has already left us.

🔁 Failed and Duplicate Payments

If a payment fails but money still leaves your account, it is almost always a temporary hold placed by the gateway rather than a completed charge, and it usually reverses on its own within a few working days. If it has not cleared after a week, contact us with the date, amount and payment reference and we will trace it.

If you were genuinely charged twice for one order, you do not need to wait. Tell us and we will refund the duplicate.

📄 A Note on Generated Reports

Project reports are built from figures you enter, which makes each one unique to your farm and impossible to resell. If the generator fails, produces a broken file, or clearly ignores the inputs you supplied, that is a fault and we will refund it.

What we cannot refund is a report that ran correctly but produced numbers you did not like. The projections reflect your own assumptions about prices, mortality and costs. If those assumptions were optimistic, the report is doing its job by showing you so, and you are welcome to run it again with more conservative figures.

⚖️ Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy takes away rights you hold under Indian consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the e-commerce rules made under it. Where this policy is more generous than the law requires, the more generous term applies. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this page describes, the law wins.

Any dispute that cannot be settled between us is subject to the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
